Description

Involucrin is a highly reactive, soluble, transglutaminase substrate protein present in keratinocytes of epidermis and other stratified squamous epithelia. It first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase thus helping in the formation of an insoluble envelope beneath the plasma membrane functioning as a glutamyl donor during assembly of the cornified envelope. Application Notes

Titering of the recombinant Involucrin antibody may be required for optimal performance.

1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.

Immunogen

Involucrin purified from human keratinocytes was used as the immunogen for the recombinant Involucrin antibody.

Storage

Store the recombinant Involucrin antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
