Splicing factor, proline- and glutamine-rich, also called PTB-associated-splicing factor (PSF) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SFPQ gene. Enables DNA binding activity; histone deacetylase binding activity; and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in several processes, including alternative mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; positive regulation of oxidative stress-induced intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway; and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Acts upstream of or within double-strand break repair via homologous recombination. Located in chromatin; nuclear matrix; and paraspeckles.
Optimal dilution of the PSF antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Amino acids EMEDAYHEHQANLLRQDLMR from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the PSF antibody.
After reconstitution, the PSF antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
