Pannexin 1 is a protein in humans that is encoded by the PANX1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the innexin family. Innexin family members are the structural components of gap junctions. This protein and pannexin 2 are abundantly expressed in central nerve system (CNS) and are coexpressed in various neuronal populations. Studies in Xenopus oocytes suggest that this protein alone and in combination with pannexin 2 may form cell type-specific gap junctions with distinct properties.
Optimal dilution of the PANX1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Recombinant human protein (amino acids M1-D362) was used as the immunogen for the PANX1 antibody.
After reconstitution, the PANX1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
