P2X purinoceptor 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the P2RX5 gene. The product of this gene belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP. P2X5 functions as a ligand-gated ion channel. Several characteristic motifs of ATP-gated channels are present in its primary structure, but, unlike other members of the purinoceptors family, this receptor has only a single transmembrane domain. Quantitative dot blots revealed that P2X5 expression is highest in brain and immune system and is developmentally regulated.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the P2X5 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Human partial recombinant protein (AA 333-422) was used as the immunogen for this P2X5 antibody.
After reconstitution, the P2X5 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
