5',3'-Nucleotidase, mitochondrial, dephosphorylates specifically the 5' and 2'(3')- phosphates of uracil and thymine deoxyribonucleotides, and so protects mitochondrial DNA replication from excess dTTP. Has only marginal activity towards dIMP and dGMP.
Titration of the NT5M antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 195-226 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the NT5M antibody.
Aliquot the NT5M antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
