Nucleolar protein 2 is an S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that specifically methylates the C(5) position of cytosine 4447 in 28S rRNA (Probable). May play a role in the regulation of the cell cycle and the increased nucleolar activity that is associated with the cell proliferation.
Titration of the NOP2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 9-43 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the NOP2 antibody.
Aliquot the NOP2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
