LAG1 longevity assurance homolog 4 (LASS4), also called Ceramide synthase 4 (CerS4) may be either a bona fide (dihydro)ceramide synthase or a modulator of its activity. When overexpressed in cells is involved in the production of sphingolipids containing different fatty acid donors (N-linked stearoyl- (C18) or arachidoyl- (C20) ceramides) in a fumonisin B1-independent manner (By similarity).
Titration of the LASS4 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 21-51 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the LASS4 antibody.
Aliquot the LASS4 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
