Serpina 4, also called Kallistatin, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SERPINA4 gene. It is a member of the serpin superfamily and represents a major inhibitor of human tissue kallikrein in circulation. Kallistatin is a serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) and a heparin-binding protein. It is localized in vascular smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells of blood vessels, suggesting that it may be involved in the regulation of vascular function.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Kallistatin antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Kallistatin (AIKFFSAQTNRHILRFNR) was used as the immunogen for this Kallistatin antibody.
After reconstitution, the Kallistatin antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
