Importins transport molecules into the nucleus via nuclear localization sequences binding. There are over 20 human importins identified, divided in the alpha and beta subfamilies. Importin-9 is a beta importin, responsible for the import of the core histones H2A, H2B, H3 and H4 into the nucleus.
Provided assay concentrations are suggestions only, Importin-9 antibody titration may be required for optimal results.
A recombinant protein fragment from the C-terminal region of human Importin-9 was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
Aliquot the Importin-9 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
