The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies.
Optimal dilution of the Il17b antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A recombinant mouse partial protein corresponding to amino acids R23-F180 was used as the immunogen for the Il17b antibody.
After reconstitution, the Il17b antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
