In response to adverse changes in their environment, cells from many organisms increase the expression of a class of proteins referred to as heat shock or stress proteins. HSBP1/HSP27 exhibits rapid increased phosphorylation in response to various mitogens, tumor promoters (e.g. phorbol esters) and calcium ionophores, and high levels are associated with carcinoma of the breast and with endometrial adenocarcinomas.
Titration of the HSP27 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 61-90 from human HSPB1 was used as the immunogen for this HSP27 antibody.
Aliquot the HSP27 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
