Description

HNF4A is a nuclear transcription factor which binds DNA as a homodimer. The encoded protein controls the expression of several genes, including hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 alpha, a transcription factor which regulates the expression of several hepatic genes. This gene may play a role in development of the liver, kidney, and intestines.

Application Notes

Titration of the HNF4A antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 107-139 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this HNF4A antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the HNF4A antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
