The FOXP4 (Scm-like with four MBT domains 2) gene shares high similarity with the Drosophila Scm (sex comb on midleg) gene. Sfmbt2 is a Polycomb group (PcG) gene that maps to the proximal region of Chromosome 2, and is a putative imprinted gene. Sfmbt2 is the first imprinted gene within this region to be identified. Studies indicate that six different translocations involving proximal chromosome 2 results in lethality when present as a maternal uniparental duplication.
Optimal dilution of the FOXP4 antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A recombinant partial protein (within amino acids 302-541) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the FOXP4 antibody.
Aliquot the FOXP4 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
