Fibroblast growth factor 22, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the FGF22 gene. The FGF22 sequence in a genomic clone is assigned to 19p13.3. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. In situ hybridization demonstrated expression in the inner root sheath of the hair follicle. FGF22 is involved in hair development.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the FGF22 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
An amino acid sequence from the middle region of human FGF22 (FYVAMNRRGRLYGSRLY) was used as the immunogen for this FGF22 antibody.
After reconstitution, the FGF22 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
