PR domain zinc finger protein 1, also known as B Lymphocyte Induced Maturation Protein 1 (BLIMP-1), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PRDM1 gene. This gene encodes a protein that acts as a repressor of beta-interferon gene expression. The protein binds specifically to the PRDI (positive regulatory domain I element) of the beta-IFN gene promoter. Transcription of this gene increases upon virus induction. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been reported.
Optimal dilution of the BLIMP1 antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A recombinant human protein corresponding to amino acids M1-Q230 was used as the immunogen for the PRDM1 / BLIMP1 antibody.
After reconstitution, the BLIMP1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
